Clock Repair and Service...

Gear 01

When we service your clock, each mechanical movement will receive a thorough examination and repair. For each clock we remove the movement from the case and inspect and note any potential problems with the movement.

The movement will be totally disassembled, the individual parts cleaned in an ultra-sonic cleaner with a special clock cleaning solution. When dried, the parts are inspected again. At this point, bushing and pivots are inspected and spring strength checked. If the springs are weak now is the time to replace them.

Gear 02

All replacement parts are specialty made clock parts. The movement will be reassembled and checked for proper tolerances and operation. We will re-bush worn bushings and polish rough pivots as part of the service. Springs are lubed and then reinstalled on the winding arbors.

After repairs are made the clock movement is reassembled, put ion beat and placed in a test stand for a week to check for proper operation. If it runs without any problems for a week, then the movement is then re-installed in the case and run for another week  If it runs in the case for a week with out any problems then it is ready to go home!
